Nails
Iron nails are one of the most in-demand products across several industries. Depending on their shape and size, they’re mostly in demand across the construction and engineering industries.
India is the second top provider of iron nails across the globe. Some of the most commonly exported ranges of nails include the F Type brad nail, construction nails, and fence staple nails, among other similar products. The country exports most of its products to the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
Regarding value, India has significantly jumped in its nail production between 2018-2018. The country increased its production value by over 72% within the timeline, manufacturing over a billion metric tonnes of nails. Moreover, exports from the country were valued at $66.6 million in 2021. These valuations came when India was recovering from the trade cycle setback, marking a -11.5% reduction from its initial exports.
However, with the country pushing its reformed export rules for iron nails, it’s evident that India could soon be the world’s top exporter of iron nails. This would ultimately result in a market size and valuation boom.
