Hinges

Hinges are crucial for fixing any door. These appliances are best used to fix doors, making them indispensable to the construction and real-estate sectors. These steel-based articles are placed at the corners of the doors to provide them with steady support.

Thanks to the rich steel industry of India, the country stands as the largest exporter of hinges in the world. The country has a wide range of door hinges: barrel hinges, friction hinges, butt hinges, and D hinges, among others. These hinges are generally categorized in terms of their sizes and uses.

India is a leading exporter of hinges to countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, the UK, and the USA. The country has made massive improvements in hinge transport, as it jumped from a valuation of USD 124.38 million in 2009 to USD 237.36 million in 2018, marking a 23.63% increment in terms of export.

However, the export cycle has been on a downtrend since 2019. Hinges exports continue to struggle around the 150 million mark, marking a steep decline in sales. These stats, however, are expected to improve as the market aims for a 5.6% CAGR between 2021 and 2025.
